As the lead organisation for the People for People (P4P) Program in the Nepean region, NADO in partnership with ADHC runs sector training to help build a workforce with the capacity and skills required to achieve positive outcomes for people with a disability who have behaviours of concern.
We are committed to:
- achieving quality outcomes through training, peer support and mentoring
- supporting the NGO sector to be more sustainable and resilient in their support of clients who display challenging behaviours
- sharing the knowledge and skills of ADHC’s tool kits
- building expertise and networks of mentors across the non-government sector
Disability Services in the Nepean are connected through mentoring committees and professional peer support to ensure that people with a disability have opportunities to communicate and express their feelings in a safe and socially appropriate way.
