NADO is a community-based charity that supports people with disabilities, their families and carers in Western Sydney, including the Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains, Penrith suburbs and surrounding areas.
NADO is committed to providing services and supports that respond to the needs and personal goals of people with a disability, their families and carers within the context of their home, work and community life.
NADO is a local organisation rich in knowledge and networks that have been forged over many years of service to and collaboration with the community. NADO is registered as a Community Housing provider.
Founded in 1980 by local families, NADO creates an environment where people living with a disability can flourish and grow.
NADO seeks to be a model organisation, helping to create a society where people with a disability are respected, valued and empowered to live a life of fulfilment, choice and purpose.
NADO programs were developed because we believe that choice and quality of life are fundamental rights, not privileges, deserved by ALL Australians. For this reason, our clients can choose from a selection of programs designed for people with a disability at every stage in their life, or construct their own package to suit their individual needs and personal goals.
Local knowledge, local impact
We use our local influence to raise awareness of the rights, needs and abilities of people living with disabilities so that individuals can actively participate in the community and achieve their full potential.
